Our Swedish massage uses long, flowing strokes to ease tension, improve circulation, and promote relaxation. This classic massage is perfect for anyone looking for a little rest and relaxation.
Our Swedish massage uses long rhythmic techniques that feel smooth and calming, while utilizing gentle to medium pressure—enough to ease tension, but never painful. Dim lights, calming music and sometimes essential oils help to set the mood. The general focus is calm; not on treating chronic pain or deep muscle issues.
Our deep tissue massage is designed to relieve chronic muscle tension and improve mobility and tissue health. Our skilled therapists use a variety of techniques such as trigger point therapy to target problem areas and help you achieve optimal wellness.
Sports massage is designed to enhance athletic performance, prevent injuries and aid in recovery from sports related activities. Unlike general massage, sports massage incorporates techniques such as trigger point therapy, myofascial release and passive stretching to address muscle ans soft tissue related disfunction.
Chair massage is utilized in situations where lying down is either contraindicated, uncomfortable for the client, or in an environment where undressing and using a massage table isn't an option.
TMJ massage is used to treat Temporal mandibular joint disfunction. Patients who grind or clench their teeth are typical candidates that could benefit from this therapy. Dental gloves are utilized to treat muscles inside and outside the mouth/jaw to relieve pain associated with muscles around the jaw.
Hydrotherapy is usually not a treatment on its own; but, more so an add on to other types of massage. This can include cold or hot applications to soothe or further aid in relief or repair to a muscle group.
Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a very gentle, noninvasive type of treatment designed to make micro adjustments to the immoveable sutures of the skull and sacrum which manipulate cerebrospinal fluid and restore health where there is tension and blockages. It can help with chronic pain, concussion symptoms, migraines and more.
Lymphatic drainage massage utilizes gentle techniques to stimulate the lymphatic system. This therapy helps move lymph fluid throughout the body and aids in reducing swelling and inflammation, particularly in cases of lymphedema. This process aims to remove waste products and toxins as well as boost the immune system.
Prenatal / Postnatal Massage is therapy catered to treating women who are feeling the physical strain of muscles adjusting to pregnancy as well as muscles that often become overused after giving birth and having to care for a new baby.
Infant Massage is therapy designed to treat babies as early as birth; although, it is recommended to wait a few weeks to ensure the baby is medically stable and comfortable with gentle touch. Commencing massage within the first few months is ideal. Some benefits that include improving sleep, reducing stress, easing digestive issues such as a gas and constipation and reducing the severity of colic. Although treatment is performed by the therapist, we do encourage parents to pay attention and learn as well as participate to practice their techniques since massage strengthens bonding between parent and child

Massage Therapy is the manipulation of soft tissues of the body including muscles, connective tissues, tendons, ligaments and joints. Massage therapy is a clinically-oriented healthcare option that helps alleviate the discomfort associated with everyday and occupational stresses, muscular overuse and many chronic pain conditions.
Massage therapy is appropriate for individuals of all ages, including infants, children and the elderly. There are some conditions for which massage therapy is inappropriate and a qualified RMT is trained to recognize these cases. Many RMTs treat a wide variety of conditions and disorders, while other RMTs concentrate on certain conditions or groups of people such as athletes, women during pregnancy, infants and children. When booking your first consultation, be sure that the RMT is the right choice for you.
As with many treatments affecting the soft tissue, there are times when massage therapy can cause some light discomfort but it is not harmful. Discomfort usually diminishes and no technique of this nature is used without the therapist first discussing it with the client and obtaining your permission. A comfort scale will be established and the therapist will work to the client's tolerance level. The client can stop or change the treatment at any time and RMTs will modify their techniques to meet their client's needs.
No. Your comfort is of the utmost importance to all RMTs, whether that is in the context of the clothing you wear or the treatment you receive. RMTs can provide important treatment whether you elect to remove any, some or all of your clothing. All RMTs are trained in proper draping procedures to ensure that your privacy is completely respected at all times during treatment. Your comfort and ability to relax is paramount to effective treatment. RMTs will also describe the treatments to be provided, to ensure that you are comfortable with them. Your consent is sought before treatment is provided. If you are uncomfortable, tell your RMT immediately, whether that discomfort involves the treatment, draping or any pain you may experience.
Your initial appointment will start with a brief discussion about your health history, followed by an assessment. This process usually takes about 10-15 minutes and is NOT factored against your scheduled treatment duration. Advice my be given pre and post treatment regarding complementary remedial home exercises as well as referrals to other types of therapy that can assist in your improvement / recovery.
Our standard massage session is 60 minutes; however, we also offer a variety of durations.
